ICE Confirms Flights to Massachusetts with Illegal Immigrant Detainees

Immigration Customs Enforcement, ICE, has recently confirmed that flights with illegal immigrant detainees have been landing in Massachusetts. As many as six flights have landed in the state, two at Logan airport, and four at Hanscom airport. These are not the run of the mill airplanes, they are owned and operated by ICE. Officials are saying that the immigrants being transported to states that far from the border is routine as they are awaiting their hearing proceedings.

Many are up in arms about this, seeing as even the governor of Massachusetts was unaware of the illegal immigrants being brought to the state he represents. For the people that have recently become aware of what is going on, there are copious amounts of questions. How long will these people be in Massachusetts? Are they dangerous? Are they costing taxpayers money? Why is it routine to bring people all the way up to the North? Most of these questions going unanswered, but people have speculations of their own.

Many people are skeptical of the Obama Administration’s ability to secure and protect the border, and others are saying there is a humanitarian crisis happening. Many of these illegal immigrants are fleeing their war torn, impoverished, run by gangs country in hopes of making a better life for themselves. They also seem to have a misunderstanding of the immigration laws, seeing as they think that Obama is granting them amnesty. The thing that most people fail to mention is that Obama has deported more people in the past years than any other president has in their entire term. That doesn’t seem like amnesty.
