Detroit ICE Enforcement Agent Kills Detroit Man
During a Detroit home raid, an ICE agent was forced to take action that resulted in the death of a Detroit man.
19-year-old Terrance Kellum was a fugitive that was undergoing several armed robbery and weapons charges. During a multi-agency enforcement raid (including local authorities and Immigration Customs Enforcement), a Detroit residence was entered without force, and Terrance Kellum was killed.
The raid was part of an ICE Enforcement Removal Operation (ERO) that joined the Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The Detroit home where the raid was conducted was on the 9500 block of Evergreen Road. Kellom abandoned probation in August for the armed robbery of a pizza deliveryman and a felony possession of a firearm.
Police have confirmed that both the subject and the firing ICE agent are of African American decent.
Reports say that both Kellom and his father were both on the search warrant; however, Kellomโs father was not arrested due to the death of his son during the raid.
Local activist told Detroit News that a, โfugitive apprehension does not give the police a license to killโ. Several reports have said that a protest is planned for Tuesday April 28th at 4:30 p.m.
