Twice Deported Illegal Alien Accused of Killing Two Californian Officers
Luis Enrique Monroy Bracamonte is a Mexican immigrant that has been deported from the United States twice for drug and weapon related charges. On October 24th North California sheriffโs had a 6-hour shoot out with Mr. Bracamonte which resulted in the death of two Northern California Sheriffโs.
Bracamonte had been using several different aliases to conceal his multiple arrest, terrible driving record, and two deportations from the United States. Using the name Marcelo Marquez, Bracamontes was arraigned on 14 felony charges, including the murder of two sheriffs, theft of a police vehicle and weapon, four carjackings, and the attempted murder of three additional officers and a civilian. Bracamonte could be facing the death penalty for these new charges.
Now being held in a maximum security prison, Bracamonte could be creating a problem for the Obama administration since he is one of the many illegal immigrants that has crossed the border during the expanded system that does not accurately identify dangerous foreigners. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a national group that advocates constricted immigration control, spoke on the shooting saying โThis case shows that our laws are not bring enforced, and there are tragic consequences to not enforcing themโ.
While the Obama administration expects to expand the protection of deportation for immigrants here illegally, Bracamonteโs shooting could cause the Democratic Party some problems. While Bracamonteโs continual deportation report may seem like a rare occasion, from 2003 to 2013 over 1.1 Million deportations were reinstatements of previous deportation court orders of that same immigrant.
