Hilary Clinton Using Immigration on Her Campaign
Presidential candidate Hilary Clinton makes a move on immigration. Following in President Obamaโs footsteps, Mrs. Clinton proposes changes on immigration reform as a priority in her campaign.
With over 11 million illegal immigrants living in the United States, Mrs. Clinton has publically announced her concern for these aliens and is dedicated to pursuing the enforcement of Obamaโs executive action on immigration. Mrs. Clinton will be focusing her immigration efforts on aliens with strong bonds to the family, community, and American employers. She has also promised to improve the living conditions detained immigrants in ICE Detention Centers.
โIf Congress refuses to act, as president I will do everything possible under the law to go even further. There are more people โ like many parents of Dreamers and others with deep ties and contributions to our communities โ who deserve a chance to stay. Iโll fight for them, too.โ โ Mrs. Clinton
While protecting the Dreamers and their parents from possible deportation could be an easy task, reforming the immigration detention system is an urgent matter that will need more collaboration. Restructuring the guidelines and standards for ICE Detention Centers will take large amounts of resources, which at this point the government spend doesnโt have. ย
