On a Monday morning, July 1, 2019, President Donald Trump announced once again that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will start the delayed immigration raid again after July 4, 2019.
A Delayed Raid
Undocumented immigrants will once again be the subject of the latest news across the nation and are facing deportation. During a news conference, Trump made an announcement at the G-20 summit in Japan that the raid was still the plan despite Congress being in recess. ICE was meant to start rounding up about 2,000 people two weeks ago in 10 major cities including, Miami, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Chicago.
